A place to be me.This program is unique and has been designed by dance educators to cater for the 2–5 year age group exploring movement, mime, music, magic, make-believe and much much more. It is designed to aid development of physical, social and emotional needs.
A casual class for the extra little ones.A fun, easy going class for those really little ones who aren’t quite able to participate in a fully structured class just yet. Our little munchkins begin with the basics in jazz and ballet. Incorporating marching, fairy runs, shakers, singing, the Wiggles and Hi-5. This class is perfect for the young one who’s always dancing around the house. For children 3 years of age.
A fun class for the little ones.A fun class to prepare them for jazz tap and ballet classes. More structured than the Little Munchkins class and incorporating additional skills. The munchkins class encourages students to improve their coordination, balance and imagination in a creative and uplifting environment. They have the option of Munchkins Ballet and/or Munchkins Tap & Jazz. For children 4-5 years.
Ballet is a foundational technique class for all genres of dance.From school age to advanced levels, utilising a syllabus designed by the Australian Teachers of Dancing. This work is developed and choreographed by industry professionals to suit the very young ballet dancer and develop them carefully through to professional levels.
Jazz is a fun class combining many styles and rhythms.A high energy, upbeat class for dancers covering a range of jazz styles. Jazz classes are a great workout and a fun way to release tension while attaining a body awareness that can be applied to everyday activities. We also offer Jazz exams with the well recognised ATOD syllabus.
An exciting rhythmic exercise and dance form.There are many elements to learning tap, these include - rhythm, technique, musicality and the fun bit - doing it! We also offer Tap exams with the ATOD syllabus.
Contemporary & Lyrical.All students wishing to take this class will need to have studied ballet for at least 12 months before doing so and will also need to be currently attending at least 1 ballet class a week. A genre of dance that was initially formed as an alternative to the rigid world of ballet. Contemporary can be danced to just about any music; modern or classical. The class is designed to further develop the students giving them additional skills in the dancing field.
Making a strong comeback, Hip Hop is a popular choice today.Hip Hop is a street style of dance that will develop musicality and allow students to learn how to rhythmically interpret music. Hip Hop is great for anyone who loves to dance. It's fun, energetic and exciting. We also offer Hip Hop exams within the ATOD syllabus.
Fitness, strengthening and tumbling.A great class ideal for students who would like to work on their flexibility, tricks, turns, leaps and core strength. An essential class for any competition or exam student.
A fun class helping students to develop their personality on the stage.This class will involve drama and singing, and will also work on performance skills necessary for the stage. Any students doing exams and competition work are encouraged to take this class.
